PREPAID REGISTRATION
- A confirmation letter with a barcode will be sent to all non-Faculty participants a few days prior to the Conference.
- Please bring your confirmation letter with you to the Conference to enable you to collect your registration materials from the prepaid registration stations located in the Registration Area of the venue.
- If you do not receive a confirmation letter and barcode, do not worry, you will still be able to use the self-service machines by typing your full name into the machine. Hostesses will be in the Registration Area to assist you.
FACULTY REGISTRATION DESK
If you are a Board, Committee Member or Faculty Member, you do not need a barcode letter, instead we shall wait for you at the VIP Faculty Desk to provide you with your name badge.
BADGES
Upon registration, you will receive your name badge. You are kindly requested to wear your badge during all Conference sessions and events.
Information Useful to All Attendees
The congress will be primarily in English with 4 daily streams that will have simultaneous translation into Spanish and a dedicated Portuguese stream for Veterinary Nurses on the last day of the congress.

All accepted abstracts for the upcoming conference are currently under embargo, which will be lifted on September 27th at 9:00 am Lisbon, Portugal time, at which point the abstracts will be publicly available for viewing via the interactive program and the mobile app.
The 48th World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) is approved by the Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE) to provide the following CE activity for medical specialists and has also been accredited by VetCEE as a level 7 post-graduate training course.

- Upon arrival at the Lisbon Conference Centre, you can connect to the local Wi-Fi network using the access mentioned above.
- If you notice excessive slowness due to potential network overload, please use your mobile data plan.
People from most countries in the Americas and Western Europe do not need a tourist visa to enter Portugal. We suggest you contact your local Portuguese Embassy to confirm whether you need a visa. It is the responsibility of the WSAVA 2023 participant to obtain a visa if required.
An official personalized letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration procedure. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the Scientific Program. Invitation letters can be provided electronically (PDF) or as a hard copy if required. Hard copies will be mailed via regular post free of charge. In case of special delivery (courier) request, the participant will be responsible for all charges.
During the entire Congress, the attire will be casual and informal.
All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibition hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.
The Congress Secretariat and Organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants, either during or indirectly arising from the WSAVA 2023. Congress Participants are advised to take out their own personal health and travel insurance for their trip.
